I don't have any pictures ,but i just finished installing a superwinch 3000 on my frortrax 300 4x4 yesterday . If it wasn't for the tow hook on the front of the atv you wouldn't even know that i have a winch on it
The directions stink . If you need help with the wiring let me know ,now that i've done it once it's a piece of cake
If I can find a mount I'll be putting one on my 1986frortrax 250 2 wheel drive.

I remember reading a post a few days ago where someone said that Rocky Mountain ATV had winch mounts for the old Fourtrax 250s, but I can't remember who posted it.

 

They sell winch mounting plates all over feeBay for your model 300,and that will determine where the winch itself mounts at...I built a winch plate for my 88TRX3004wd that mounted up as high as I could put it,and attached to the frame where the rack/brushguard mounts to the frame up top with the winch hanging down under the plate...If I still had it I'd post some pics ...

 

I see you have three 300s. You shouldn't have any problem finding a winch plate for the '96 and '00 models, but I've never seen one for the '89 models. KFI sells winch plates for the 300s.
